Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and underwrite casualty insurance applications, ensuring alignment with company guidelines and risk appetite.
- Analyze risk factors and assess the likelihood of claims, utilizing various analytical tools and methodologies.
- Collaborate with brokers and clients to gather necessary information and provide tailored insurance solutions.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market changes, and regulatory updates to enhance underwriting decisions.
- Prepare and present underwriting recommendations and reports to management.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all underwriting activities.
- Foster relationships with internal teams and external partners to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 3-4 years of experience in general insurance, with a focus on Property & Casualty (P&C) lines, preferably casualty lines.
- Strong knowledge of market updates and trends in the insurance industry.
- Self-motivated with a proactive learning attitude.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
