Job Duties:
Responsible for life underwriting risk assessment
Ensuring that all underwriting decisions align with company policies and industry regulations.
Handle channel enquiries regarding underwriting decision and requirements
Requirement:
Degree holder in a relevant discipline such as business, insurance, or finance is preferred, along with professional insurance qualifications such as FLMI or ALU.
More than 5 years experience in life insurance underwriting, with substantial experience in assessing life underwriting risks.
Solid understanding of risk management principles and underwriting guidelines is essential.
Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to evaluate complex cases effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also required, as the role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including agents and reinsurers.
Proven working experience in life underwriting, preferably within a managerial or senior underwriting role, is highly desirable.
Detail-oriented, organised, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards in underwriting assessments.
