We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Actuarial Assistant Manager to support actuarial functions within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This position is based in Shenzhen, China, and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of actuarial models and financial reporting frameworks, specifically under the evolving IFRS17 standards. You will be responsible for conducting actuarial valuation, pricing, experience analysis, and financial reporting work across a diverse portfolio, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of actuarial deliverables.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IFRS17 and its application within the insurance sector. You will work closely with risk, finance, and product development teams to deliver consistent actuarial support aligned with international financial reporting standards. A solid command of actuarial modelling software and proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, VBA, R, or Python is essential.

Applicants should be making good progress toward or have already achieved Fellowship status with a recognised actuarial association, such as FSA or equivalent. A strong academic background in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline is required, typically supported by a university degree. At least 4–6 years of experience in life insurance actuarial work or financial reporting is expected, with a good working knowledge of embedded value, capital modelling, or solvency reporting considered a plus.

Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills are vital to succeed in this role. You must demonstrate the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality actuarial insights. Fluency in English is required, both written and spoken, and familiarity with Mandarin would be an asset but not essential.

This role offers exposure to cutting-edge actuarial developments within an international context and provides ongoing opportunities for career progression and development. If you are passionate about actuarial science, thrive in a results-driven environment, and possess a strong attention to detail, we encourage you to apply. Join us in shaping the future of the actuarial landscape in compliance with global financial reporting regulations.
