Job Description
- Develop, implement, and monitor risk management frameworks, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and business objectives.
- Provide actuarial expertise to assess and quantify insurance risks, including underwriting, pricing, reserving, and capital management.
- Conduct risk analysis and scenario testing to evaluate the impact of market, insurance, and operational risks.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including underwriting, finance, investment, and compliance teams to ensure robust risk strategies.
- Prepare risk reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Stay updated on changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices to ensure compliance and effective risk management.
- Support the development and maintenance of risk models for risk assessment and reporting purposes.
- Engage with external auditors, regulators, and industry bodies to provide risk-related insights and ensure compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as FIA, FSA, or equivalent actuarial qualifications preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in insurance risk management or actuarial-related roles within the insurance industry.
- Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, regulatory requirements, and actuarial methodologies.
- Proficiency in risk modelling techniques and statistical analysis tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide strategic insights.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and senior management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
