Job Summary

A leading consultancy firm is seeking an experienced Actuarial Consultant specialising in General Insurance. The successful candidate will provide actuarial consulting services, including reserving, pricing, risk management, and regulatory compliance support.

Responsibilities

• Conduct actuarial analyses for general insurance clients, including reserving, pricing, and capital modelling.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies to support business decisions.
• Provide advisory services on regulatory and financial reporting requirements.
• Work with stakeholders to deliver tailored actuarial solutions.
• Analyse market trends and provide insights on business impacts.
• Support business development and client relationship management.
• Engage in actuarial modelling projects and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide support on merger and acquisition due diligence, IFRS 17, and Solvency II projects.

Requirements

• Qualified or part-qualified actuary (FIA, FIAA, FSA, or equivalent).
• Proven experience in general insurance actuarial consulting or an insurance company.
• Strong background in reserving, pricing, and capital modelling.
• Knowledge of IFRS 17, Solvency II, or other regulatory frameworks.
• Proficiency in actuarial software such as SAS, R, Python, or Prophet.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Fluent in English; Cantonese or Mandarin is an advantage.
