We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Actuary to join our team based in Beijing, China. The successful candidate will play a critical role in leading all actuarial functions, with a strong focus on pricing, valuation, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate must have demonstrated expertise in managing and developing actuarial teams and be capable of leading initiatives as both the Pricing Head and Valuation Head. A deep understanding of economic capital, solvency standards, risk quantification, and insurance product development is essential.
The Chief Actuary will be responsible for overseeing actuarial modelling, embedded value assessments, and financial reporting in line with international standards. This role will require significant collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop sound pricing strategies, ensure robust valuation methodologies are applied, and provide insights into long-term financial sustainability. The successful candidate will also play a pivotal role in supporting key business decisions and contributing to the overall corporate strategy. Experience advising senior leadership and stakeholders on actuarial matters will be highly regarded.
Candidates must hold a recognised actuarial qualification such as FSA (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries), CAA (Chartered Actuarial Analyst), or FIA (Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries), and must be under 60 years of age. Proven leadership in actuarial governance and a thorough understanding of China's insurance regulatory landscape are crucial for this role.
