FICC / Wealth Management Operations - Top Investment Bank

Overview

Our client is one of the top banks in China with a strong presence across major Asian markets, providing investment banking, brokerage and asset management services to their clients.

They are currently expanding their Operations department in HK and are looking for people to join their FICC & Wealth Management teams for Analyst, Associate and Associate Director positions.

Job duties

• Supervise daily trade bookings, validations, lifecycle management, break investigations, and settlements associated with Fixed Income, FX, and related Derivatives activities.
• Propose and implement process improvement initiatives using technical tools to boost efficiency in reconciliation processes and operational workflow
• Contribute to the new product approval process by evaluating its impact on trade bookings, settlements, end-of-day procedures, regulatory reporting, and other relevant areas.
• Participate in projects as needed to support IT development or process modifications, adhering to project management standards and lifecycle tasks.
• Collaborate with front and back office functional support teams to ensure accurate booking of trading activities in internal systems.
• Collaborate with clients and prime brokers to promptly resolve issues and meet daily deliverables.
• Conduct root cause analysis and develop solutions for recurring issues and breaks.

Job requirements

• University Degree holder in Finance, Economics or Business Administration
• 2 to 10 years of experience in Operations in financial services industry, covering end-to-end trade lifecycle from trade booking, validations to settlement
• Strong knowledge of FX (G-10 currencies), derivatives, equities, fixed income, SBL and structured products
• Familiar with Calypso, CCASS, DCASS, Euroclear or other similar systems
• Good understanding of ISDA/CSA Master Agreements & Definitions
• Prior experience in driving process transformation and change initiatives is a huge advantage
• Proactive mindset and willingness to learn
• Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
