We are helping our banking client to look for an experienced Data Analyst to join their dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will use their passion for big data and analytics to provide insights to the business covering a range of topics and managing a variety of data products.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver data analysis report, sheets to fulfill business needs and work with business to analyze data or big data to enable better use of it.
  • Data mining and analysis: Use big data technology and analysis tools to deeply mine the value of data, provide accurate data analysis and prediction, and provide decision-making support for products and operations.
  • Data product strategy and project management: Based on data strategy, work on data products and tools strategy and implementing plan, optimize existing product functions and user experience, and enhance the use of data products from business team.
  • Collaborate with engineers to build high-quality basic data to ensure comprehensive and accurate data and enhance the value of data assets.

Qualifications

  • Degree holder in IT, Data Science, Information System or related discipline;
  • 5 years or above solid experience in data and business analysis, preferably in banking or finance sector;
  • Proficiency in SQL, SAS and data modeling with experience in data visualization (e.g., Qlik/Tableau/PowerBI, etc.) and familiarity with cloud data services, data architecture concepts and code optimization.
  • Strong understanding of data and analytics in complex business environments; financial services experience preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and logical reasoning skills.
  • Work independently; able to work under pressure;
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese (both Putonghua and Cantonese).
