Our client is one of the largest commercial banks in Hong Kong providing a wide range of banking services to a diverse customer base. They are looking for a Trade Finance Officer to join their Operations department to handle bill transactions and trade finance activities covering both import and export.
Job Duties
- Handle the processing of bills transactions including issuance, acceptance, negotiation and collection of bills
- Ensure accurate and timely execution of trade services, such as letters of credit, documentary collections and guarantees.
- Collaborate with customers, internal departments, and external parties to facilitate smooth trade transactions
- Prepare trade processing reports and analyze data to identify areas for improvement in trade operations
- Identify and report any compliance issues or potential risks related to trade operations and propose appropriate remedial actions
- Work with IT team on system enhancement projects and assist in UAT of new systems
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in banking, finance or any related fields
- 1-5 years of experience in bills operation/trade finance in banking industry
- Strong understanding of trade finance products and bills operations standards such as UCP600 and URC522
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve trade-related issues
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently and manage tasks within established timelines.
- Fluent in spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
