Position Overview:

The Senior Account Reconciliation Accountant is a critical role within our finance department, responsible for overseeing and managing the account reconciliation process. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, with a focus on full sets of accounts, including account payments, account receivables, and control accounts. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of accounting principles, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and expertise in CPA and IFRS 17. Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee and manage the account reconciliation process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in completing all reconciliation activities, including full sets of accounts such as account payments, account receivables, and control accounts.

* Utilize your expertise in CPA and IFRS 17 to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting.

* Review and analyze financial statements, general ledger accounts, and supporting documentation to identify discrepancies and resolve issues related to full sets of accounts. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to address and rectify reconciliation discrepancies.

* Develop and implement robust reconciliation processes, policies, and procedures to maintain the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency.

* Utilize your proficiency in Microsoft Excel to streamline reconciliation processes and enhance efficiency.

* Monitor and evaluate internal controls related to account reconciliation, recommending and implementing improvements as necessary.

* Generate accurate and comprehensive reports and presentations to provide insights and recommendations for senior management's decision-making.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA qualification is required.

* In-depth knowledge and experience with IFRS 17.

* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze large datasets and create complex formulas.

* Proven experience 3+ years in account reconciliation, particularly with full sets of accounts, within the insurance or financial services industry.

* Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and internal controls.

* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

* Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
